Artist Bio:
Johnny Burnette was an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Born on March 25, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee, Burnette began his music career with his brother Dorsey Burnette and friend Paul Burlison, forming the rock and roll band The Rock and Roll Trio. The trio's energetic performances and rebellious attitude made them popular in the rockabilly music scene.

In 1956, Johnny Burnette began his solo career and released several successful singles, including "Dreamin'" and "You're Sixteen." He continued to record and perform throughout the 1960s, but his commercial success waned. Tragically, Burnette died in a boating accident on August 14, 1964, at the age of 30. Despite his short career, Johnny Burnette left a lasting impact on the rock and roll genre, with his distinctive voice and energetic performances earning him a place in music history.
