Johnny Burnette was an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s as part of the rock and roll trio, The Rock and Roll Trio, alongside his brother Dorsey Burnette and guitarist Paul Burlison. Known for his energetic performances and distinctive voice, Burnette released several hit singles including "Train Kept A-Rollin'," "Dreamin'," and "You're Sixteen."
During his career, Burnette recorded for several record labels including Coral Records and Liberty Records. He later pursued a solo career and continued to release music until his untimely death in a boating accident in 1964 at the age of 30. Johnny Burnette's influence on rock and roll music can still be felt today, with his songs being covered by various artists and his legacy living on in the rockabilly genre.
