Artist Bio:
Johnny Burnette was an American singer-songwriter who gained fame in the late 1950s as a rock and roll musician. He was born on March 25, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee, and began his music career by forming a trio with his brother Dorsey and friend Paul Burlison. The trio, known as The Rock and Roll Trio, released several hit songs including "Train Kept A-Rollin'" and "Lonesome Train (on a Lonesome Track)." Burnette's energetic performances and distinctive vocal style helped him establish himself as a prominent figure in the rockabilly genre.

In addition to his success as a musician, Burnette also wrote songs for other artists and had a brief acting career appearing in a few films in the early 1960s. Tragically, Johnny Burnette's life was cut short when he died in a boating accident on August 14, 1964, at the age of 30. Despite his premature death, Burnette's contributions to rock and roll music continue to be celebrated, and he is remembered as a pioneering figure in the genre.
