Artist Bio:
Johnny Burnette was an American singer and songwriter, born on March 25, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was best known as a rock and roll musician and was a member of the popular 1950s rockabilly trio, The Rock and Roll Trio, along with his brother Dorsey Burnette and guitarist Paul Burlison. The trio gained fame with hits like "Train Kept A-Rollin'" and "Tear It Up".


Burnette also had a successful solo career, producing hits such as "Dreamin'" and "You're Sixteen". He was known for his energetic performances and distinctive voice, which contributed to his success as a rockabilly artist. Tragically, Burnette's life was cut short when he died in a boating accident on August 14, 1964, in Clear Lake, California, at the age of 30. Despite his untimely death, Johnny Burnette's music continues to be celebrated and remembered as an important part of the rock and roll era.
