He started his music career with his brother Dorsey Burnette, forming the Rock and Roll Trio in the 1950s. They had several hits together before Johnny embarked on a solo career. Known for his energetic performances and rockabilly style, Burnette released a string of singles in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Tragically, he died in a boating accident on August 14, 1964, at the young age of 30. Despite his short career, Johnny Burnette left a lasting impact on the rockabilly genre.
