Johnny Cash, born on February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas, was an American singer, songwriter, and actor who is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Known for his deep, distinctive voice and rebellious attitude, Cash's music spanned multiple genres including country, rock and roll, and gospel. He rose to fame in the 1950s with hits like "I Walk the Line" and "Folsom Prison Blues," and became known as "The Man in Black" for his signature all-black stage attire.


Cash's career spanned over five decades, during which he released numerous albums and singles, earning him multiple Grammy Awards and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He was also known for his activism, including performances for prisoners in various correctional facilities and his support for Native American rights. Cash passed away on September 12, 2003, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the greatest and most legendary figures in music history.
