Lee is best known for his hit song "Lookin' for Love," which was featured in the 1980 film "Urban Cowboy" starring John Travolta. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart and number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


In addition to "Lookin' for Love," Johnny Lee had several other successful country hits, including "One in a Million," "Bet Your Heart on Me," and "The Yellow Rose." He also collaborated with Lane Brody on the duet "The Yellow Rose," which served as the theme song for the popular TV series of the same name.
