He was best known for his 1972 hit single "I Can See Clearly Now," which reached the top of the charts in the United States and internationally. Nash's music was a blend of reggae, pop, and soul, and he was one of the first non-Jamaican artists to record reggae music in Kingston, Jamaica. He played a significant role in popularizing reggae music outside of Jamaica.
