Jon Astley is an English record producer and singer-songwriter, born on 10th May 1952 in Colchester, Essex. He began his music career as a recording engineer at Abbey Road Studios, working with renowned artists like George Harrison and Led Zeppelin. Astley later transitioned to producing, with his most notable work including The Who's "It's Hard" album and Eric Clapton's "Behind the Sun."


In addition to his production work, Astley has released several solo albums throughout his career, such as "Everyone Loves the Pilot (Except the Crew)" and "The Unpleasant Mixes." He is also known for his songwriting skills, having written hits for artists like Bonnie Tyler. Astley continues to be active in the music industry, both as a producer and a musician, showcasing his versatile talents.
