Jon Secada is a Cuban-American singer and songwriter known for his pop and Latin music. He was born on October 4, 1962, in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Miami, Florida. Secada is a classically trained tenor who studied at the University of Miami's School of Music. He began his music career as a backup singer for Gloria Estefan, and later launched his solo career in the early 1990s.
Secada's self-titled debut album, released in 1992, was a commercial success, featuring hits like "Just Another Day" and "Do You Believe in Us." He went on to release several more albums, including "Heart, Soul & a Voice" and "Better Part of Me." Secada has won multiple Grammy Awards and has collaborated with other artists such as Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin. In addition to his music career, Secada has also appeared on Broadway in the musical "Cabaret."
