Jonathan Cain is an American musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the keyboardist for the rock band Journey. He was born on February 26, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. Cain joined Journey in 1980 and has been a key member of the band ever since, contributing to their success with hits like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms."
Prior to his time with Journey, Cain was a member of the bands The Babys and Bad English. He has also released several solo albums and has collaborated with various artists throughout his career. In addition to his music career, Cain is also a philanthropist and has been involved in charitable efforts, including donating proceeds from his music to various causes.
