Jorgen Ingmann was a Danish guitarist and musician who gained international fame in the 1960s. He was born on April 26, 1925, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and began his music career playing jazz and swing music. Ingmann's breakthrough came with his instrumental piece "Apache," released in 1961, which became a worldwide hit and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rock and Roll Recording.

Ingmann continued to release successful instrumental music throughout the 1960s. He often performed with his wife, Grethe Ingmann, who was a popular Danish singer. Jorgen Ingmann passed away on March 21, 2015, leaving behind a legacy of influential guitar music that has continued to be celebrated by fans of instrumental music.
