José Feliciano is a Puerto Rican musician, singer, and songwriter who was born on September 10, 1945, in Lares, Puerto Rico. He is known for his versatile music style, which includes genres such as Latin, pop, rock, and soul. Feliciano gained international fame in the 1960s and 1970s with hits like "Light My Fire," "Feliz Navidad," and "Che Sarà." He is also recognized for his unique guitar playing style, incorporating elements of flamenco, jazz, and classical music.


Feliciano has won multiple Grammy Awards, including the Best New Artist award in 1969. He is also the first Latin artist to receive two Grammy Awards in the categories of Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best New Artist. Throughout his career, Feliciano has released over 60 albums in both English and Spanish, solidifying his reputation as a prolific and influential artist in the music industry.
