The band's original members included Neal Schon on guitar, Ross Valory on bass, Gregg Rolie on keyboards and vocals, George Tickner on guitar, and Prairie Prince on drums. Journey achieved commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with their blend of hard rock and melodic pop.
The band is best known for their hit songs such as "Don't Stop Believin'", "Any Way You Want It", and "Open Arms". Journey has sold over 48 million albums in the United States, making them one of the best-selling bands in the country. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, with Steve Perry as their most recognizable lead vocalist. Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
