Journey is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, with the most successful and well-known lineup consisting of lead vocalist Steve Perry, guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory, and drummer Steve Smith. They are known for their catchy melodies, soaring vocals, and arena rock sound.
Journey achieved massive commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with hit songs such as "Don't Stop Believin'", "Any Way You Want It", and "Open Arms". Their album "Escape" released in 1981 was their most successful, featuring some of their most popular songs. Despite internal conflicts and lineup changes, Journey has continued to tour and release music, with their songs remaining popular on classic rock radio stations.
