Joyce "Fenderella" Irby is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and producer who is best known for her work in the R&B and funk genres. She gained prominence as a member of the all-female group Klymaxx, where she played bass and provided backing vocals. Irby also co-wrote several of the group's hit songs, including "Meeting in the Ladies Room" and "I Miss You."
After her time with Klymaxx, Irby pursued a solo career and released her debut album, "Maximum Thrust," in 1987. She continued to work as a producer and songwriter for other artists, collaborating with musicians such as Janet Jackson and The Whispers. Irby has also been involved in music education, teaching workshops and masterclasses on songwriting and music production.
