Jr. Walker & The All Stars were an American soul and R&B band formed in the 1960s. The group was led by saxophonist and vocalist Junior Walker, who was known for his distinctive, gritty saxophone playing and soulful singing. The All Stars were known for their energetic live performances and their hits on the Motown record label.
One of their most famous songs is "Shotgun," which reached the top of the Billboard R&B chart and the top 5 of the pop chart in 1965. The band continued to release successful singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)" and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)." Jr. Walker & The All Stars were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, recognizing their contributions to the soul and R&B music scene.
