Jr. Walker & The All Stars were an American soul and R&B band formed in the mid-1960s. The group was led by saxophonist and vocalist Junior Walker, whose raspy voice and distinctive saxophone playing were key elements of their sound. The band's biggest hit was the 1965 single "Shotgun," which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became their signature song. Known for their energetic live performances and infectious dance music, Jr. Walker & The All Stars were popular in both the R&B and pop charts during the 1960s and 1970s.


In addition to "Shotgun," the band had several other hits, including "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)" and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)."
