Jr. Walker & The All Stars was an American Motown soul and R&B band formed in the mid-1960s. The group was fronted by saxophonist and vocalist Junior Walker, whose raspy, soulful voice and energetic saxophone playing were defining features of their sound. The All Stars consisted of various rotating members, with Walker being the consistent leader.
The band achieved commercial success with hits like "Shotgun" and "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)," both of which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jr. Walker & The All Stars were known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of soul, R&B, and rock influences. They were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2004, recognizing their contributions to the Motown sound of the 1960s and 1970s.
