Jr. Walker & The All Stars was an American soul and R&B band formed in the mid-1960s. The group was fronted by saxophonist and vocalist Junior Walker, whose raspy voice and energetic saxophone playing were defining elements of their sound. The All Stars were known for their dynamic live performances and catchy hits that blended soul, R&B, and rock influences.
One of their most famous songs is "Shotgun," which reached the top of the R&B charts and became a crossover pop hit in 1965. The band continued to release successful singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)" and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)." Jr. Walker & The All Stars were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, recognizing their contributions to the Motown sound and their enduring influence on soul music.
