Artist Bio:
Jr. Walker & The All Stars was an American soul and R&B band formed in the mid-1960s. The group was led by saxophonist and vocalist Junior Walker, whose raspy voice and distinctive saxophone playing were key elements of their sound. The band's biggest hit came in 1965 with the song "Shotgun," which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became their signature tune. Known for their energetic live performances, Jr. Walker & The All Stars were a popular act during the Motown era and continued to record and perform throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

The band's lineup changed over the years, but Junior Walker remained a constant presence and driving force behind their music. In addition to "Shotgun," Jr. Walker & The All Stars scored hits with songs like "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)" and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)." They were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2005.
