Jr. Walker & The All Stars was an American soul and R&B band formed in the 1960s. The group was led by saxophonist and vocalist Autry DeWalt Mixon Jr., better known as Junior Walker. The band is best known for their energetic live performances and signature sound, which combined soulful vocals with Walker's fiery saxophone playing. Their biggest hit came in 1965 with the song "Shotgun," which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Jr. Walker & The All Stars continued to release successful singles, including "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)" and "Come See About Me." They were known for their dynamic stage presence and were a popular live act, performing at venues and music festivals around the world. Jr. Walker & The All Stars were inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2016, recognizing their contributions to the soul and R&B music genres.
