Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
Jumpin' Gene Simmons was an American rockabilly singer and songwriter born in 1933 in Itawamba County, Mississippi. He is best known for his hit song "Haunted House," which was released in 1964 and reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since been covered by various artists and remains a Halloween classic.

Simmons began his music career in the 1950s, recording for various record labels including Sun Records and Hi Records. He was known for his energetic stage presence and unique vocal style, which combined elements of rockabilly, country, and rhythm and blues. Simmons continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although he never achieved the same level of commercial success as he did with "Haunted House." He passed away in 2006, leaving behind a legacy as a talented and influential figure in the rockabilly music scene.
