Junior Parker was an American blues singer and musician, born on March 27, 1932, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He was known for his smooth vocals and harmonica playing, as well as his ability to blend blues, R&B, and soul music into a unique sound. Parker gained fame in the 1950s and 1960s with his hit songs such as "Driving Wheel" and "Mystery Train."


Parker recorded for labels like Sun Records and Duke Records, and collaborated with other notable musicians including Bobby "Blue" Bland and Ike Turner. His music was influential in the development of rock and roll, and he continued to perform and record until his death on November 18, 1971, in Blue Island, Illinois.
