Karyn White is an American singer and songwriter known for her success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She was born on October 14, 1965, in Los Angeles, California. White's music career began in 1988 when she released her self-titled debut album, which included hits like "Superwoman" and "The Way You Love Me." The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart.


In 1989, White received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "Superwoman." Throughout her career, she released several albums, including "Ritual of Love" and "Make Him Do Right." White also collaborated with other artists, such as Babyface and Terry Lewis. Despite taking a break from the music industry in the mid-1990s, Karyn White made a comeback in the 2010s with new music releases and performances.
