Artist Bio:
KBC Band was a rock band formed in 1986 by three former members of Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship: Paul Kantner, Marty Balin, and Jack Casady. The band's name "KBC" was derived from their initials. The lineup was completed by drummer Keith Crossan and keyboardist Tim Gorman. KBC Band released one self-titled album in 1987, which featured a mix of rock and pop songs with a more straightforward and commercial sound compared to their previous bands. The album included tracks like "It's Not You, It's Not Me" and "Mariel," and received moderate success.
Despite the initial positive reception, KBC Band disbanded in 1987 after a short-lived career. The members went their separate ways, with Paul Kantner returning to Jefferson Starship, while Marty Balin continued his solo career. The KBC Band's brief existence left a mark on the music industry as a collaboration of seasoned musicians from iconic rock bands.
