He began his music career in the 1970s and is best known for his hit singles "Daytime Night-time" and "The First Cut Is the Deepest," which both reached the top 10 in the Canadian charts. Hampshire also released several albums throughout his career, including "The First Cut," "Variations," and "Covers."
In addition to his music career, Keith Hampshire has also worked as a television host and presenter in Canada. He hosted the music television show "Music Machine" in the 1980s and has made appearances on various other television programs. Hampshire's contributions to the Canadian music industry have earned him a place in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
