Kenny Loggins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born on January 7, 1948, in Everett, Washington. He is best known for his soft rock and adult contemporary music, and has had numerous hit singles throughout his career. Loggins first rose to fame as part of the duo Loggins and Messina in the 1970s, before embarking on a successful solo career in the 1980s.
Some of Kenny Loggins' most popular songs include "Footloose," the title track from the hit 1984 film, "Danger Zone" from the movie "Top Gun," and "Whenever I Call You Friend." He has won two Grammy Awards for his music, and has also dabbled in children's music, contributing to several popular movie soundtracks. Kenny Loggins continues to perform and record music, maintaining a dedicated fan base around the world.
