Kenny Rogers & The First Edition was an American rock band formed in 1967. The group was fronted by country music legend Kenny Rogers and also included members Mike Settle, Terry Williams, Thelma Camacho, and Mickey Jones. The band is best known for their hit songs such as "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)" and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town."


Kenny Rogers & The First Edition achieved commercial success in the late 1960s and early 1970s, blending elements of rock, pop, and country music. The band eventually disbanded in 1976, with Kenny Rogers pursuing a successful solo career in country music.
