Kenny Rogers & The First Edition was an American rock and roll band formed in 1967. The group was fronted by country music singer Kenny Rogers and also included members Thelma Camacho, Mike Settle, Terry Williams, and Kin Vassy. The band found success with their psychedelic rock sound, blending elements of folk, country, and pop music.
One of their most famous hits was the song "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)," which reached the top 10 on the charts in 1968. The band released several albums throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s before disbanding in 1976. Kenny Rogers went on to have a successful solo career in country music, while the other members pursued their own musical endeavors.
