Artist Bio:
Kim Carnes is an American singer-songwriter born on July 20, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her raspy, distinctive voice and her hit song "Bette Davis Eyes," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1981. The song earned her a Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.


Carnes began her music career in the 1960s and released her debut album in 1971. Throughout her career, she has released a total of 13 studio albums and has had several other chart-topping hits, including "More Love" and "Crazy in the Night (Barking at Airplanes)." Apart from her solo career, Carnes has also written songs for other artists and collaborated with notable musicians such as Kenny Rogers and Barbra Streisand.
