KISS is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973. The band is known for their elaborate live performances, which often include fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. The original lineup consisted of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley, with the current lineup featuring Stanley and Simmons alongside Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer.
KISS has released 20 studio albums, with their most successful being "Destroyer" and "Love Gun." They are best known for hits such as "Rock and Roll All Nite," "Detroit Rock City," and "I Was Made for Lovin' You." The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. KISS was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
