Kitty Kallen was an American popular singer born on May 25, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained fame in the 1940s and 1950s with hits such as "It's Been a Long, Long Time" and "Little Things Mean a Lot." Kallen's smooth, sweet voice and emotional delivery made her a beloved figure in the music industry during this time.


In addition to her successful solo career, Kallen also collaborated with prominent bandleaders like Harry James and Jimmy Dorsey. She was known for her versatility, being able to sing a variety of genres including pop, jazz, and big band music. Kallen's talent and contribution to the music world earned her a place in the American pop music landscape of the mid-20th century. She passed away on January 7, 2016, at the age of 93.
