KIX is an American hard rock band that was formed in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Steve Whiteman, guitarists Ronnie Younkins and Brian Forsythe, bassist Donnie Purnell, and drummer Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant. KIX is known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of hard rock and glam metal music.
Their most successful album, "Blow My Fuse," was released in 1988 and included hits such as "Don't Close Your Eyes" and "Cold Blood." The album reached platinum status and solidified KIX's place in the hard rock scene of the late 1980s. Despite several lineup changes over the years, KIX continues to tour and perform, maintaining a loyal fan base.
