Artist Bio:
Klaatu was a Canadian progressive rock band formed in 1973 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consisted of three members: John Woloschuk, Dee Long, and Terry Draper. Klaatu gained international attention in 1976 with the release of their self-titled debut album, which sparked rumors that the band was actually The Beatles recording under a pseudonym. Despite the speculation, Klaatu continued to release music under their own name.

The band released a total of five studio albums between 1976 and 1981, with their music characterized by intricate arrangements, lush harmonies, and science fiction-inspired lyrics. Klaatu disbanded in 1982, but their music has continued to attract a cult following over the years. Their most well-known song, "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft," was later covered by The Carpenters and became a hit for them in 1977.
