Artist Bio:
Kon Kan was a Canadian synthpop project created by Barry Harris and Kevin Wynne in the late 1980s. The duo is best known for their 1989 hit single "I Beg Your Pardon (I Never Promised You a Rose Garden)", which reached the top five in the charts in several countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The song featured a unique blend of electronic dance music and samples from Lynn Anderson's country classic "Rose Garden".
Following the success of "I Beg Your Pardon", Kon Kan released their debut album, also titled "Move to Move", which included other notable singles such as "Harry Houdini" and "Puss N' Boots/These Boots (Are Made for Walkin')". While the project's commercial success waned in the early 1990s, Kon Kan remains a significant part of the synthpop and dance music scene of the late 1980s.
