Kris Kross was an American hip hop duo formed in 1991 by Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith. They were discovered by music producer Jermaine Dupri at the age of 12 and 11, respectively. The duo was known for their signature style of wearing their clothes backwards, which became a popular trend among fans.
Kris Kross achieved commercial success with their debut album "Totally Krossed Out," released in 1992. The album featured their hit single "Jump," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They went on to release two more albums, "Da Bomb" in 1993 and "Young, Rich & Dangerous" in 1996, before disbanding in 1996. Tragically, Chris Kelly passed away in 2013 at the age of 34. Kris Kross made a lasting impact on the music industry and remains a memorable part of 90s hip hop culture.
