Kris Kross was an American hip-hop duo that consisted of Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith. They were best known for their hit single "Jump," which was released in 1992 and became a chart-topping success. The duo was discovered by music producer Jermaine Dupri and signed to his label, So So Def Recordings.
Kris Kross gained popularity for their unique style, which included wearing their clothes backwards as a signature look. They released three studio albums during their career, with their debut album "Totally Krossed Out" achieving multi-platinum status. Despite their early success, Kris Kross disbanded in 1996, but they reunited for occasional performances over the years. Tragically, Chris Kelly passed away in 2013 at the age of 34, marking the end of Kris Kross as a duo.
