Kris Kross was an American hip hop duo consisting of Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith. They rose to fame in the early 1990s with their debut album "Totally Krossed Out," which featured their hit single "Jump." The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was a commercial success worldwide.
Kris Kross was known for their unique style of wearing their clothes backwards, which became a signature look for the duo. They released three studio albums in total, with their last album "Young, Rich & Dangerous" coming out in 1996. Kris Kross disbanded in 1996 but reunited briefly in 2013 for a concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jermaine Dupri's record label, So So Def Recordings. Tragically, Chris Kelly passed away in 2013 at the age of 34, marking the end of Kris Kross' music career.
