Kris Kross was an American hip hop duo formed by Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith in 1991. They gained fame for their hit single "Jump," which was released in 1992 and became a chart-topping success. The duo was known for their unique fashion style of wearing their clothes backwards, which became their signature look.
Kris Kross released three studio albums during their career, with their debut album "Totally Krossed Out" reaching multi-platinum status. They were discovered by music producer Jermaine Dupri and signed to his record label So So Def Recordings. Kris Kross disbanded in 1996 but reunited for occasional performances over the years. Unfortunately, Chris Kelly passed away in 2013 at the age of 34, marking a tragic end to the legacy of Kris Kross.
