Artist Bio:
Lamont Dozier is an American songwriter and record producer, best known for his work as part of the legendary Motown songwriting and production team HollandΓÇôDozierΓÇôHolland. Born on June 16, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, he collaborated with Brian Holland and Eddie Holland to create numerous hit songs for artists like The Supremes, The Four Tops, and Martha and the Vandellas during the 1960s. Their compositions, such as "Baby Love" and "Stop! In the Name of Love," helped define the Motown sound and became iconic classics of the era.


In addition to his successful career as a songwriter, Lamont Dozier also pursued a solo career as a recording artist in the 1970s, releasing several albums and achieving some chart success with songs like "Trying to Hold On to My Woman." He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and continues to be recognized for his contributions to the music industry.
