Artist Bio:
Lamont Dozier is an American songwriter and record producer, born on June 16, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known as one-third of the legendary songwriting and production team Holland-Dozier-Holland, along with Brian Holland and Eddie Holland. Together, they were responsible for writing and producing numerous hit songs for Motown artists in the 1960s, including classics like "Baby Love" by The Supremes and "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" by Marvin Gaye.


After leaving Motown in the late 1960s, Lamont Dozier continued his successful music career as a solo artist, releasing several albums and singles. He is also recognized for his work as a songwriter, having penned hits for artists outside of Motown, such as "Two Hearts" for Phil Collins and "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" for Diana Ross & The Supremes and The Temptations. Lamont Dozier has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and continues to be a respected figure in the music industry.
