Artist Bio:
Lani Hall is an American singer, lyricist, and author born on November 6, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois. She is best known for her work as the lead vocalist for the band Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 from 1966 to 1971. Hall's smooth and sultry voice helped the group achieve success with hits like "Mas Que Nada" and "The Fool on the Hill." She also released several solo albums and won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance in 1986 for her album "Es Facil Amar."


Aside from her music career, Lani Hall has also written a memoir titled "Emotional Memoirs & Short Stories" and has collaborated with her husband, musician Herb Alpert, on various musical projects. She continues to perform and record music, showcasing her unique vocal style and versatility across genres such as jazz, Latin, and pop.
