Artist Bio:
The Lemon Pipers were an American psychedelic pop band that formed in Oxford, Ohio in 1966. They are best known for their hit song "Green Tambourine," which was released in 1968 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song features a catchy melody and prominent use of the tambourine, giving it a distinct sound that resonated with audiences at the time.

The Lemon Pipers released two albums during their career: "Green Tambourine" (1968) and "Jungle Marmalade" (1968). While they achieved commercial success with "Green Tambourine," the band struggled to replicate that level of success with their subsequent releases. The Lemon Pipers eventually disbanded in 1969, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of psychedelic and pop music from the late 1960s.
