Lighthouse was a Canadian rock band formed in 1968 in Toronto, Ontario. The band was known for their energetic live performances and unique blend of rock, jazz, and classical influences. Lighthouse was one of the first Canadian bands to achieve international success, particularly in the United States.
The band released several albums throughout the 1970s, including their self-titled debut album in 1969 and their most successful album, "One Fine Morning," in 1971. Lighthouse was known for their complex arrangements, use of brass and string instruments, and socially conscious lyrics. The band disbanded in 1976 but reunited in the late 1990s and continued to perform and record new music. Lighthouse was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1995 in recognition of their contributions to the Canadian music scene.
