Born on December 4, 1981, in Steilacoom, Washington, McCann released her debut album, "Lila," in 1997 when she was just 16 years old. The album spawned several hit singles, including "Down Came a Blackbird" and "I Wanna Fall in Love," which peaked in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
McCann continued to release music throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, with her sophomore album, "Something in the Air," released in 1999. She also appeared in the film "The Virginian" in 2000. Despite her early success, McCann took a hiatus from music in the mid-2000s to focus on her personal life.
