Linda Ronstadt is an American singer, songwriter, and actress, born on July 15, 1946, in Tucson, Arizona. She is known for her versatile vocal abilities and has explored a wide range of musical styles including rock, pop, country, and Latin music. Ronstadt has released over 30 studio albums and has won numerous awards throughout her career, including 11 Grammy Awards.
In addition to her successful music career, Linda Ronstadt has also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "The Pirates of Penzance" and "The Muppet Movie." She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received a National Medal of Arts and Humanities in 2014. Ronstadt retired from performing in 2011 due to health reasons related to Parkinson's disease.
