Linkin Park is an American rock band that was formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1996. The band's original lineup consisted of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, and lead vocalist Chester Bennington. They gained international fame with their debut album, "Hybrid Theory," released in 2000, which featured hit singles like "Crawling" and "In the End." Linkin Park is known for their unique blend of nu-metal, alternative rock, and electronic music, as well as their emotionally charged lyrics and powerful vocal performances.
Throughout their career, Linkin Park has released several successful albums, including "Meteora," "Minutes to Midnight," and "A Thousand Suns." The band has won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, and has sold over 70 million albums worldwide. Tragically, lead vocalist Chester Bennington died by suicide in 2017, leading to the band going on a hiatus. Linkin Park has since released a tribute concert album, "One More Light Live," in honor of Bennington.
