Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The band gained international fame with their debut album, "Hybrid Theory," released in 2000. The album was a massive commercial success, selling over 27 million copies worldwide. Linkin Park is known for their unique blend of nu-metal, alternative rock, and electronic music, as well as their introspective and emotional lyrics.
The band has released several successful albums, including "Meteora" (2003), "Minutes to Midnight" (2007), and "A Thousand Suns" (2010). Linkin Park has won two Grammy Awards and has sold over 70 million records worldwide. Tragically, the band's lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, passed away in 2017. Despite this loss, the band continues to perform and release music, with Mike Shinoda taking on lead vocals for some performances.
