Linkin Park is an American rock band that was formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1996. The band's original lineup consisted of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, and Chester Bennington. They are known for their unique blend of alternative rock, nu-metal, and rap-rock styles, and have been credited with helping to popularize the nu-metal genre in the early 2000s.
Linkin Park achieved worldwide fame with their debut album, "Hybrid Theory," released in 2000. The album was a commercial success, selling over 27 million copies worldwide, and included hit singles such as "Crawling" and "In the End." The band continued to release successful albums, including "Meteora" (2003) and "Minutes to Midnight" (2007). Tragically, lead vocalist Chester Bennington passed away in 2017. Despite this loss, Linkin Park remains a highly influential and respected band in the rock music industry.
